That said, I think it's the White Lantern Ring. Ultimately, I'd say that the most powerful ring is whichever you think it is. You've got "Chosen One" version, which is what Deadman had in Brightest Day, where the Entity is in control of you, and you've got "Effort", which is what Kyle has now. The White Ring is especially confusing, because it comes in two flavors. Or maybe it's the ring giving you power without overwhelming you, thus giving you the purest power? Yellow, Green, and Blue can all be that. Is it the emotion's influence? Because Red, Orange, Indigo, Violet, and Black all become likely candidates there. Is it the abilities it gives you? White and Indigo seem likely. Is it raw energy? Because it's probably the Orange Ring. Kyle has the widest arsenal, but I feel like there are members of each Corps that could outdo him in harnessing the individual spectrums.Īnd a lot of it just depends on a definition of power. Larfleeze has the most raw power, but his actions don't tend to reflect that. I mean, ultimately, it always comes back to the ring bearer, doesn't it? Hal Jordan is basically the most powerful individual to have ever used a power ring, performing impossible feats with a Green Ring and being the only person besides Black Hand to actually hold mastery over a Black Ring, which he wasn't supposed to be able to do. In New Guardians, Kyle Rayner became the new White Lantern, not from being the chosen one, but because he worked hard to master the entire emotional spectrum. The most powerful ring in theory, however, I would argue is the White Lantern Ring, because it can do everything the other rings can. It's the power of an entire Corps in one being. The most powerful ring in practice is, of course, the Orange Lantern Ring. Well, the issue is that you've got the most powerful ring in theory and the most powerful ring in practice.
